About

Cyniel is a cute but evil young boy. He acts very sweet and smiles a lot, but the words he says are poison.

He is very smart and very skilled at making puppets. He is the king of a land named Myag Mell that is filled with his magic puppets. It's a beautiful but fake paradise.

Cyniel hates humans a lot. He thinks they're selfish and horrible and believes the world would be a better place without them.

His life and actions revolve around his best friend, Cierza. He loves her deeply and sees her as his entire world. He wants to lock her away so no one can hurt her or take her away from him.

Cyniel's theme is "beautiful but dangerous lies." His symbols are roses and spades (♠).

Trivia

  • He likes to eat sweet foods and mushrooms.
  • He is physically weak, but very strong with puppetry, alchemy, and lightning magic.
  • He is the same height as Cierza, but his shoes make him taller.
  • He likes playing pranks on people: both ones that are harmless, and ones that are dangerous.
  • He and his main servants are known as the Áo Sì (敖四). This is a pun on "Aos Sí" and the Sìhǎi Lóngwáng. His main servants are:
    • Centri: A cloud magus (demon). He follows Cyniel out of his own will and curiousity, and sees Cyniel as a genius. Centri wants to see the world that Cyniel can build with his powers.
    • Couma and Cylla: A pair of twins that were originally pumpkins. Cyniel gave them human bodies, and they repay him with loyalty. They find it fun to be around him.
    • Verti: A mask given a body. They travel around and act under Cyniel's orders, putting on various performances and gathering information.
  • He is able to sense the souls of inanimate objects. He turns these souls into living ones, giving them immortal bodies to inhabit.
    • This is the race of immortals living in Myag Mell, which he calls the Aos Shī. This is a pun combining "Aos Sí" and the word shī (屍, corpse. e.g. jiangshi). He also calls them the Fei (非) folk, a pun on 'fae folk'.
    • This ability comes from the fact that his soul belonged to a doll before being given a body and life by Cierza. He retains his memories from when he was a doll. No one knew such souls existed before Cyniel.
